the "Roots
of Presbyterianism" by delving into the fascinating
role that John Knox played in the Reformation in Scotland
on your tour. Knox spent several years in exile before
finding a mentor in John Calvin. He later returned to
preach the reform doctrines in Scotland. On your John
Knox tour, journey to the heart of Scottish spiritual
life, from the remote island of Iona to Haddington in
East Lothian, where Knox was
born. Explore St. Andrews for insight into the nation’s
ecclesiastical history, and conclude in Edinburgh, with
visits to Holyrood Palace, where Knox met Mary Queen
of Scots, and St. Giles’ Cathedral, where Knox
is buried. Or explore Knox’s own spiritual path
in Berwick, London, Newcastle, and Northumberland or
visit Dunnotar Castle, an impressive ruined fortress
on a rocky cliff outside Aberdeen, where 167 Covenanters
were imprisoned in 1685. Alternatively, your tour may
travel to John Calvin's "shining city on a hill",
Geneva. Calvin is considered by many to be second only
to Augustine as the most widely read theologian. His
"Institutes of the Christian Religion," a
summation of Reformation thought, greatly contributed
to the spread of Protestantism in France, Switzerland
and Scotland.
We
offer unique Presbyterian religious experiences that
your group may wish to add to your John Knox tour. We
can arrange meetings with other Presbyterian churches
in any city that you will visit. We offer private church
services or the opportunity for your accompanying minister
to officiate at a Presbyterian service during your journey.
If you have a contingent of choir members along who
would like to sing, we can arrange performances for
your Church Choir at local churches or in some of the
world's great Presbyterian heritage sites. If you would
like for your John Knox or Calvin tour to have more
of a mission element, we can arrange for charitable
visits or community service at local Presbyterian churches,
homes for the elderly, hospitals and clinics.

man with God is always
in the majority." - John
